Toolroom golden boy Matt Samuels touches down with his stunning, long-awaited tribute to the seminal 1990 Depeche Mode classic 'Enjoy The Silence'! Entirely re-sung by the enigmatic For The Masses, this powerful re-interpretation is ready to do some serious damage on 2008’s dancefloors. Matt’s Original Club Mix is an anthemic tour-de-force of rolling beats and a thick, beefed-up bassline. Workidz follows on with a thundering, thrilling re-rub in his inimitable style, whilst Noir gives us a storming teched-out remix, an irresistible punchy retouch. Finally Label Manager Pete Griffiths sees his debut on Toolroom with a superb uplifting rework that flawlessly rounds off this package. An unmissable release!!

Title track 'Go Deep' comes courtesy of Chris Special and Adam S. It’s a riot of a track, a bumpy bass-heavy bruiser that slaps you around the face and sticks a firecracker under your feet, made for big systems and guaranteed to electrify your dancefloor. Second track 'Spaced Out' is a dark intense trip down the rabbit hole, a wonky warped-out ride into sound with a rolling, twisted bassline and tension-filled blips and beeps. It’s an awesome contrast to the first track on the EP. An extremely promising start from a fresh Toolroom talent.

The 'Bad Weed EP' follows ATFC’s last Toolroom belter 'Ya Killin Me'. 'Bad Weed' is a strapping, vigorous house workout. Teaming with snappy, charged-up beats plus a wickedly funky rising bassline, ATFC has smashed it yet again! Sterling support comes from Madrid’s house royalty D-Formation with a riveting dark remix that pulls you in and wraps you in rolling waves of sound, with a tense. The EP rounds off with another flawless ATFC banger entitled 'I’ll Work Ya Babe', an effortlessly cool, techy treat that builds and builds to a perfect high, making you shake all the junk in your trunk & wave your hands in the air like you just don’t care!!

It’s been a great year for Toolroom Records. The ever-growing house and techno imprint headed up by Mark Knight continued their run of excellent Toolroom Knights parties at Ministry of Sound, launched a superb compilation series of the same name, set up a new sub-label showcasing hot new talent, released a steady stream of chart-topping, club-destroying tracks like Funkagenda’s 'WTF?' and his and Knight’s reworking off Laurent Garnier’s 'Man With The Red Face', scored a UK Top 20 hit with 'Baditude', and have seen their very own Dave Spoon become a Radio 1 DJ. What began back in 2004 as an output for Knight’s production has gone on to become one of the most popular house music labels – and indeed brands – the world over.
