Swiftly becoming a must-check label, Toolroom’s ‘Leaders Of The New School’ offshoot delivers its third release in the form of newcomer Tim Weeks’ 'Fashionably Late EP'. This slick and spicy 3-tracker boasts diverse cuts that have been heavily road-tested by Layo & Bushwacka, Ralph Lawson and our very own Mark Knight. Title track ‘Fashionably Late’ is a peak-hour bomb, a fizzing tech-tastic romp that fuses a funky wiggling bass with ass-shaking beats and euphoric stabs, all overlaid with swirling FX to take the dancefloor to nirvana. Uber-cool second track ‘Foil’ is crafted for the heads-down, 4am crowd, a sparse & darkly textured groove that sneakily expands for maximum damage. The final track ‘Wiggin Out’ pairs a steady bouncing groove with shimmying percussion, expertly building into a wide, ballsy break that hisses with electricity and will cause club meltdown!
