FPS
“FPS” is a collaboration project between producer’s Joe Romano aka Dataworx and Matteo Di Marr aka M1. The duo are based out of Toronto, Canada and have only recently teamed up in early 2008. Their first efforts in the studio “Bad Habits” quickly became an underground techno anthem, hitting Beatport’s Top 10 Techno charts, gaining DJ support worldwide and even catching the ear of Toolroom’s own Mark Knight. This in turn led to the highly sought after FPS Remix of the brilliant tune by Steve Mac & Paul Harris “You”. Which instantly shot up the charts taking the number 1 spot on Beatport’s Tech House Chart and several top tens on other shops including DJ Download, Trackitdown and Juno, not too mention full support from DJ heavyweights like Carl Cox, Mark Knight, and many others… >>Biography

The duo have enjoyed a steady rise in the sometimes unstable market, stamping out their own blend of solid, upfront tech sounds. With a series of successful releases including Joe’s collaboration track: “Pushin” which went on to become a club hit worldwide and hit the number 1 spot overall on Beatport. And Matt’s recent summer anthem “Yes We Can” which paired up a smooth prog house hook with the words of Obama, also topping Beatport’s charts.
It is safe to say, sometimes two minds are better than one and in this instance the duo have proven it with their project FPS. An undeniable blend of tight techy beats, upfront sounds and a strong focus on themes/hooks in each track, all the while staying true to the nature of the genres minimalistic approach. Recently, FPS have once again teamed up with top label Toolroom Records to deliver their new “Mist EP”.
