Rune R.K was born in the free town Christiania & started his dj career in 1993. Having spent 4 years playing drums in various funk bands, the basic skills of beatmixing and cutting came to him easily. Before releasing his first E.P in 1995 he spent 3 years producing hip hop tunes for local talents. After releasing several 12" on different labels, in 2002 Rune decided to join forces with his brother Johannes Torpe.

Johannes had his childhood in the hippie village Thylejeren, & has played drums & percussion since age 10. He has spent years on tour with various bands, but since the age of 20 design was his main focus. The brothers also run the world reknown design company www.johannestorpe.com with offices in Denmark, England & Italy with clients in the heavy end of fashion, furniture, electronics, household & graphics industries. Here the brothers get their creativity explored in design & music.

Having the same father, but not growing up together, they discovered their mutual love for drums & percussion. The combination of their energy, experience & musicality has since proven to be a formula for success.

The last few years have been a busy time for the brothers, with no less than 10 single releases with different projects on labels like Sony Uk, Skint, EMI, Underwater, Credence, Southern Fried & our very own, Toolroom Records. Plus 15 remixes! They have been busy playing all over Europe and have topped the charts with several No.1's!

They are currently focusing on their next album with the first single 'Never Alone' being released last year receiving fantastic reviews and high chart positions.

They have won 5 DJ awards plus a Danish Grammy and continue to renew the scene with their crazy livesets, creating a new energy to live performance.
